Six nights is the arc of arrival and deepening. One meaningful thing per day. The rest belongs to the two of them.
The private villa is the emotional anchor throughout. It has its own pool, beach access, and outdoor dining terrace — every in-villa meal is served and then left entirely. The villa concierge is available by message and never seen unless summoned. The moments that are not in this itinerary — the morning coffee, the unscheduled afternoon, the evening with no programme — those are the itinerary. The sandbank on Night Five is the peak: the furthest point from ordinary life, the most intimate setting Zanzibar offers, and the moment the week crystallises into memory.

Arrive & Seal the World
Nights 1 – 2 · Private Villa · Zanzibar
Day One
You Have Arrived
One private vehicle from the airport. A driver holding a card with both names. Villa check-in — the concierge shows the space and withdraws. Champagne on the terrace.
In-villa dinner served on the private terrace, then left entirely. Candles. The Indian Ocean. No one else in the space.
Day Two
The Body Arrives
No alarm. Villa terrace breakfast at whatever hour the morning calls for it.
Late morning: Couples Abhyanga — 90 minutes of synchronised full-body warm oil massage, side by side in the same treatment room. Two therapists. The same baobab and jasmine oil blend. The same rhythm. The session begins and ends together.
The afternoon is free: villa pool, the beach, or simply the terrace. In the evening, a private sunset dhow cruise — just the two of them, crew of two. No engine noise when the wind is right. Champagne at the bow. Stone Town receding on one side, the Indian Ocean opening on the other.

Nights 3 – 4 · Zanzibar
Day Three
Stone Town — Together in the City
A private Stone Town walk with a local guide: the carved door trail, Darajani Market, the old Omani fort, the dhow harbour. Two hours at their pace. Lunch at a private rooftop table above the old city — just them, the city below.
The afternoon is free — Stone Town or back to the villa. In the evening, Forodhani Gardens at night: no guide, no programme. The couple enters the waterfront market independently. Locals, fishermen, families eating together as they have every evening for generations. This is the only public evening of the six-night arc.
Day Four
Sand, Sea — Gift & Shot
A private beach day. A covered wicker basket is waiting at their sunbed before they arrive.
Ryravel Signature · The Couple's Gift
Her card and his card say different things. Both reference the same journey.
Inside the basket: a hand-embroidered Zanzibar kaftan in her size and a hand-embroidered Zanzibari kikoi in his — both noted discreetly at intake. A small bottle of locally pressed baobab and jasmine oil. Two handwritten cards, one addressed to each person separately. And a single fresh frangipani.

The photographer documents rather than directs.
A couples session at golden hour — 60 minutes. The setting is chosen based on what the couple responded to most across their stay. Photos delivered to both partners simultaneously 72 hours after arrival home, with a short note from the photographer about what they observed.
Day Four · Evening
The Evening Before
In-villa dinner on the private terrace. The evening before the sandbank is quiet by design. No programme, no restaurant. Just the two of them and the ocean, knowing what tomorrow holds without knowing exactly what it will be.

Day Five
The Night on the Ocean
The morning is free. At 4pm, a private dhow arrives at the villa beach.
The Ryravel Surprise · Not disclosed in advance
A private sandbank overnight in the Indian Ocean. Not in your pre-trip document. The dhow takes the couple to an uninhabited sandbank. A canvas tent with a proper bed, a private cook, lanterns, and a wood fire have been set and the Ryravel team withdrawn before they arrive. They are the only people visible in any direction. In the morning a dhow returns.
Night Five
The Sandbank
Arrive at the sandbank. The Ryravel team has already gone. A cook fire. The catch of the day. Champagne from the cooler. The Indian Ocean in every direction. No other light visible. The stars.
In the morning: sunrise from the sandbank. The dhow returns before the tide.
Phase Four
Close
Nights 6 – 7 · Zanzibar
Day Six
Return — The Slowest Day
Return to the villa by 9am. Hot shower. Real bed. The morning after the sandbank belongs entirely to the couple — no programme, nothing asked. An optional final spa treatment in the afternoon if they want it.
In the evening: celebration dinner at the best restaurant on the island, best table. The Ryravel host joins for the first glass, then withdraws. A single rose and a sealed note on the table.
Day Seven
Late Checkout — The Return Begins
The last villa morning. One Departure Box left on the pillow. One at the breakfast table. 1pm guaranteed checkout. A private vehicle to the airport. Two sealed letters from Maryangel — one per person. The Indian Ocean falls away behind them.

Two boxes. Two letters. One per person — not one as a couple.
Each box contains: a mounted couple photograph from the photoshoot, a full-size baobab and jasmine oil bottle, a hand-woven Zanzibari pouch, and a sealed handwritten letter from Maryangel addressed to each person individually — as themselves, not as a unit. One box is left on the pillow for the partner to find. The other is at the breakfast table.

A kaftan and a kikoi, two separate cards, baobab oil, frangipani. Placed at peak beach day — the settled middle of the arc.
